This is how effective Google ads really are.
Through our tools, we track a bit more than $2.1 billion dollars a year in ad spend.
The average Google click-through-rate is 3.22%.
The average cost per click is $2.81.
And the average conversion rate is 3.49%.
On the flipside, the average organic visitor converts at less than 1% (but then again, you don’t have to buy the organic traffic).
68.39% of users know that they are clicking on a paid ad. But they click on it because they believe it will provide the answer to their search query.
The average advertiser is generating $6.26 in revenue for every $1 they spend on ads.
To sum it all up, Google generates $224 billion a year in ad revenue.
If paid ads didn’t work, Google wouldn’t generate anywhere near that revenue.
If paid ads aren’t working for you (assuming you have a good product or service), start off by testing your landing pages and make sure you have a funnel (adding upsells and downsells makes ads more profitable).
