This Is Why People Don’t Read Your Content

I’ve been creating content for over 16 years now.

Written over 32,000 social posts and 6,149 blog posts.

There’s a key to really getting people to read your content.

Think about school. When a teacher or a professor typically gives a lecture, what happens?

A lot of the students get bored and they may fall asleep… or at least start daydreaming or playing on their phones.

It’s because they are just talking at you.

There is no engagement.

But the good teachers create a conversation.

They engage with you and you engage with them.

It’s one of the key elements to writing content that people will read.

Make your content a conversation.

You can do this by using words like “you” and “I” within your content.

You can also pose questions within your content.

Keep your paragraphs short and to the point instead of long boring paragraphs.

And keep things simple. You don’t have to use complex vocabulary that only Harvard grads understand. You can dumb it down.

That’s how you get your conversation read.

And of course, you still have to say something interesting, but interesting content that isn’t conversational tends to not get read as much.
